Role:                     Business Development Executive (Waste Management)

Location:             Sheffield, UK

Salary:                  £24,000 – £34,000 p.a (DOE)

Contract:             Permanent, Full-time.

Our client, a national waste management solutions business based in Sheffield, is expanding and we are keen to speak with Business Development Executives ideally with experience in the waste management sector.

In this influential role, you will work closely with the Commercial Director and internal teams to drive new business, including making appointments and generating sales with new and existing customers for my client.

Previous experience of Waste Disposal/Recycling services are preferred for this role and you must be a confident communicator, who is target driven and ambitious.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will be selling a range of waste solutions.
  • Build excellent client relationships and driving new business.
  • Think outside of the box to generate new business sales opportunities.
  • Manage a range of targets to deliver growth, retention and bring new customers on board.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with customers and ensure they are kept satisfied with the company’s services.

About you:

You will consider yourself to be an experienced sale professional with the following:

  • Have ideally 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proven sales track record in a Business Development position.
  • Target driven and used to working to KPI’s.
  • Be a self-motivated and driven individual, with the ability to generate your own sales leads.
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • You will be forward-thinking and strategic, capable of seeing the bigger picture, as well as staying focused on details.
  • Be a team player.
  • Resilient and comfortable with change to meet shifting commercial priorities.
  • MS Office Packages, Advanced PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills.
