Strategic Role: Management Accountant
Location: Dewsbury, Wakefield, UK – Office Based
Salary Range: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are partnering with a leading company in the engineering and manufacturing sector to find a detail-oriented Management Accountant. This pivotal role is central to our client’s finance team, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making and enhance financial performance.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing accurate and timely financial data, supporting the broader team in making informed strategic decisions. This role demands a blend of technical accounting expertise, analytical prowess, and strategic insight, making it an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Performing variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with department heads to develop budgets, forecast financial outcomes, and monitor performance against projections.
- Managing cash flow and ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Supporting the development of internal control policies and contributing to financial planning initiatives.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA) being highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant, Financial Analyst, or in a comparable position within the Engineering or Manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and taxation.
- Proficient in financial software, with advanced Excel skills and experience in ERP systems.
- Exceptional analytical abilities, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
