Christmas

Make a difference this Christmas: Verus Recruitment’s 2024 Toy Appeal

Since starting Verus Recruitment, I’ve carried on a tradition very close to my heart—our annual toy appeal. Now in its eighth year, this appeal brings together our community in support of two incredible organisations: The Snowdrop Project and Create a Dream Foundation. These charities do essential work to support families and children facing difficult times, and each year, we do our bit to add some joy to Christmas 2024!

What to Donate This Year If you’re looking to get involved, here are some ideas for gifts that will mean the world to children and young people this Christmas:

  • For Little Ones: Soft toys, sensory toys, baby-safe books.
  • For Young Children (Ages 3-6): Playdough sets, building toys, and interactive games.
  • For Older Kids (Ages 7-12): LEGO sets, dolls and accessories, arts and crafts kits, action figures.
  • For Teens: Books, puzzles, sports items, model kits, or anything that inspires a hobby.

Every gift matters, no matter how big or small. Whether it’s a toy, a book, or a game, your donation can help make a child’s Christmas a little brighter.

Ways to Get Involved:

  • Donate a Gift: You can choose something from the list above or surprise us with a gift that you think will bring a smile to the children being supported by The Snowdrop Project.
  • Make a Monetary Donation: Any funds received by early December will go towards purchasing toys for The Snowdrop Project, with any remaining monetary donations going directly to the Create a Dream Foundation to continue their vital work.
  • Support from Local Businesses: If you’re a business interested in getting involved, we’d love your support. We’ll arrange to collect donations directly to make things easy.

A huge thank you to everyone joining us this year. Your kindness and generosity go a long way, and together, we’re making the season brighter for so many families.

Heartfelt thanks, Jamie
